Much Thanksgiving
What a week of thanksgiving! There is much for which to give thanks, such as...
- friends in town visiting (count em: six!)
- several unexpected yet literally life-changing rituals
- one still and holy evening
- good quiet heart-to-heart time with dear ones
- a fun celebration honoring my dad
- fantastically warm weather (love me some sunshine)
- a very short-and-sweet visit with my family
- delicious food and bubbly beverages
- gorgeous sunsets at my uncle's (see below)
- entering a new place in life.
Mmmm. Let's revel in the goodness.

Melanie,
I just read your "anniversary" poem.
The stanza:
[the holy one
works through me:
the journey of this well
which i plumb and plunge
until i know every drowning inch
until i know how to come up for air
until i know how to leave it
until i know how to return and draw upon its healing waters
until i know how to bring others ]
is just beautiful, powerful, concise, and insightful. Thank you for your words!

Natalie, how nice to hear from you. Thank you for your words. Maybe see you tomorrow night? We should do lunch sometime since we're neighbors and all. Thanks again.
