Morning after pill makes debut

Today history has been made. The FDA finally approved Plan B--emergency contraception known as the "morning after pill."

If I understand correctly it will be available over-the-counter for women 18 and older. Women 17 and under will have access with a prescription from their doctor.

I also learned:
- Over 1 million abortions take place in the US each year.
- Half of all pregnancies in the US are unplanned.
